Atmospheric Condition

We all have atmospheres surrounding us, keeping us safe from the harsh radiation originating from others' souls.
It's a quiet place
or loud place,
full of harmony and sunshine
or shrouded in clouds—
Our atmospheres take on interesting shapes.
Something that unites all atmospheres
is its composition:
entirely made on Earth,
with the gentle hands
of physics and chemistry.
What happens depends solely on us.
There will be souls we allow in,
letting them breathe,
warm breezes for their safety.
There will be people
who try to break into our atmospheres,
and we will let them feel
the fear of hypoxia.
Some souls stay at a distance
while nourishing us;
just like the sun knows
Earth is better off at a distance.
Our atmospheres can adapt
to the harshest conditions,
weave swirling tornadoes,
and break skies with glorious sunsets.
And just like Earth,
which relies so much on the sun and moon,
it still holds on to her atmosphere—
the strongest act of self-love
is feeling safe with yourself.
