Luna

A moon gazer sits by herself in the sound of the waterfall.

Like a marble the satellite watches how tiny humans go to sleep.

Our gentle guardian reflecting white light

for the fairies and the cats.

Dear moon gazer, explain to me how the moon keeps us safe.

It’s the tides,

when the water

follows the motions

of the cosmos.

Insomniacs seek out

its silent wisdom

and tell stories

of quiet tears.

The moon gazer

sees, our moon

is essential for

life to thrive.
